Not dieing in SI

I don't think I turned any cheats on, but I don't seem to be dieing in SI. I had Iolo with -5 Hitpoints, and I was down to like zero. Is it possible to be negative hits? I am using the 1.0 version and have only been to Monitor and Fawn. I have not tried to die intentionally yet, but can tonight.

NPCs going into a few negative health points is normal, as far as I know. They pass out on the floor when below 0 HP and die, when the negative HP become too many.
I've had up to -8 HP a few times, but if you're having up to -20 or even less, its probably a bug.

I know that strange things could happen to your hit points if you were 'wielding' the death bolt/mind blast spell item (having pilfered it from an NPC). I ended up seeing the Avatar running around way into the negatives in terms of hit points, with no apparent ill effects...

you could always go right into the knighthood test from the begginning of the game
I always seem to die a few times in that

Maybe the 'tournament' flag has gotten stuck to the 'on' position for his character. This gets set/reset during various parts of the game, such as when you train or fight in the arena.

I will try to die tonight and let everyone know what happened. Can I check a flag on my own? Or is that to hard for a network guy to do?

Type F2 for the cheats, N for NPC Tool, 0 for #0 (the Avatar), N again for NPC flags. Look for "Tourna", and you can see what it's set to. Try clearing it if it's set.

Same thing here with me, but in Black Gate ...
I'm supposed to pass out when I reach -1 hp, right? Cause I'm running around bleeding, but I'm okay other than that

Not sure when you're supposed to pass out, but I know you can go negative a certain percentage of your strength before you die.

I believe the upper limit on that was -10, but I'm not sure.

Well, sorry about the trouble, but a bear finally did me in. It looked like I was at -2 before I died, but I must have gone a little more negative than that. Guess I just didn't wait long enough before.
I did check the Tournament flag, but it was set at Y, and I could not change it. Obviously didn't make a difference, since I died anyway.
