SI:Ale the Parrott

I'm trying to transform Ale the parrott back to Edrin. I've put the globe on the altar, used the winch, put the cage (with the parrott inside) on a pillar. But when I activate the corresponding lever, I only obtain blue and red lightnings with various object appearing and disappearing, even if the cage is on that pillar.Where is the problem?
