Hi, I am trying to finish UVII
I have 2 difficulties now.
I have met the Time Lord and he sent me to Dungeon Despise. I got as far as the locked door with a mage on the other side. I cannot find the key to open this door (
Second thing is, I cannot understand how to use the Mark and Recall Spells! I cast a Mark spell, a cross pointer comes out but wherever I click it, the spell just does nothing.

You need to cast the Mark and Recall spells on the Virtue Stones. (They're the 8 coloured rocks in the museum in Britain.)
You don't need to open the door you mentioned in Despise to get to the generator there, I think. Try exploring a bit more

To master Despise, go in from where there is the magic carpet (i.e. Lost Lake) and work your way around the lake within the dungeon.

Personally, I'd like to know how you get past the area mentioned by JK in the eastern Despise. I'm stuck at the same point there. There seem to be three possible ways to proceed which are blocked: the locked doors behind which the lost mage is, a locked bar door near the entrance, and a teleporter at a doorway little further from the entrance, which sends you back west a bit, next to the lever with a plaque saying "Do not enter". Yes, I know it isn't needed to finish the plot.

Just pick the locks (if they're nonmagical) or toggle archwizard mode and use unlock magic. Or alt-t, one or the other

The locks cannot be picked, nor are they magical. I was looking for the legitimate way to proceed.

Ok, I'm pretty sure there is a key somewhere, I just forget where it is, but a fast way there:
Enter the dungeon's second eastern half from the outside. (The entrance that the carpet is NOT at).
Get to the room that has the fireball trap to the north, go to the next east room and unlock magic the doors. Now, there is a teleporter as soon as you try and go east again it puts you back at the fireball trap, use a virtue stone and mark and recall to get by it.
Now head south and find a secret passage on the south-bound corridor to the left of the tunnel as there are teleport traps there. Once past, just follow the path down and back to the west, then up and you should get to the mage by the well.

Ok, maybe they are pickable, but the 'skeleton key' at least doesn't affect them.
