The download section says that the digital music will only work with the snapshots. Unless I'm mistaken, I believe I have it working with the 1.1 beta 2 for windows.

Should I anticipate problems using the digital music with the beta?

Digital music should work in 1.1beta2.

yeah, that description is a leftover when we hadn't released a 1.1.x version.
