question on Humility

"Dost thou want to be the most humble person in Britannia?"

Would a truely humble person answer yes or no?

Saying yes on one hand would imply I'm not the most humble person yet. On the other hand it implies it is possible for me to be the most humble person.

Hmm... Has anyone ever done a breakdown of how the Ultima 4 engine
worked? I don't think anyone was ever quite been able to figure out what caused your Humility score to rise or fall.
For that matter, doesn't the fact that you allow yourself to be called the Avatar mean you have no humility?

The site which once had a Virtue breakdown for U4 is gone.
However I found it in the Wayback Engine anyway.

Chris :

Using the table Paulon came across as a reference, the script work for a "virtue system" which will rise and fall (depending on your actions) would be extremely easy to create.

I'd say that answering yes would be the humble answer. A general idea of avatarhood (before Ascension came along): striving for perfection in virtues is good, but ever claiming to be perfect in any way is false boasting.
