Hi to all,

Maybe the most stupid question today : I have Ultima VII - Complete and want to play it with Exult on my MacOS X machine.

How do I install the game on my Macintosh ???

Thanks by advance !!!

In the same vein, how do you install the game for Zaurus version ?

I can answer the zaurus part.

Download the zaurus packages found on the download page of this site.
Transfer them to your zaurus by the method you prefer. I personally enjoy better the ftp transfer.
From the zaurus, launch the app install/remove and add the zaurus package(s) (note: you need the Sharp Zaurus binary .ipk and you could add if you want the Zaurus SI sfx package or the Zaurus BG sfx package or both).

Then you need to transfer on your zaurus the Ultima data file which you must already possess. The best place to put them is on a removable media, such as a Compact Flash card (/mnt/cf) or a Smart Media card (/mnt/card).
The recommended installation path is:
/mnt/cf/exult-data/si
or
/mnt/cf/exult-data/bg

Thanks !

If I understand well, I have to install U7 on a PC and them transfer the game folder to the Zaurus (I suppose this is the same process with the Mac), right ?

You should also be able to unpack the files you need from the files on the CD without actually installing it.

There shoud be 2 zip files, ultima7.zip and serpent.zip, in the cd's root dir that you just need to decompress.
