Hey guys,

First of all thanks to all the guys here making Exult possible and hopefully still improving it - you're awesome! Thanks for all the years of hard work.

Maybe some of you have already tried it out, but that really thrilled me: Starting Ultima 7 on my new 4k monitor, 40 inches (Philips BDM4065UC, it's a 40" monitor, no TV). It runs quiet well, but it's sometimes hard to find the mouse cursor. But good overview over towns and else :D

Just wanted to show you this picture:

Is it even possible to see your character at that resolution?

Can you even pick up a single gold coin? It would be the size of a pixel.

Just be warned that some game functions only work when objects go off screen. With a play area that big, expect some problems, in particular in Forge of Virtue and Serpent Isle. (unless there has been workarounds implemented, been far too long since I touched the code and I really don't remember everything anymore)

Is still cool though.

I have to sit about 15 inch close to the screen to see the pixels and identify little objects like gold pieces and gem stones and hit them with the mouse cursor. But it's totally funny to just teleport yourself in a big town and just watch the surroundings what's happening without moving the Avatar.

It's like a "Wimmelbook" (don't know exact English translation, it's like books for kids with a lot happening on each page with plenty of little details).

Like CD said it's not really possible to play because some events get triggered only when you approach them and some other akward stuff.

But worth to try it out if you have 4k resolution and a big screen like 40"+.

Wow... that's impressive.

Some more years on and with @32k resolution we won't need scrolling the map at all. ;)
