Ok, I've decided to post here some sample of what can be done with one of the tools I used for do the spanish translation. I want to do a second betatesting before upload the tools and spanish translation into www.clandlan.net forums that is where I upload my translations.

I will post in this thread the link to the package when I had finished.

This is a sample of what can do one of the tools... a black hair Avatar:

And this is a screenshot of the graphic tool (VB 2010 Express):

Hope you enjoy it. Of course, I'm not a picture artist, it can be improved much more. I've tought in do a White dress Avatar costume. :)

I've always thought it'd be fun to create a female Avatar in Ultima VIII. It'd be a fun project for someone with more artistic ability than myself.

Ok, done U8:Pagan Spanish translation for English Patch 2.12.

I've posted in clandlan.net this translation giving credits to anyone who has helped a bit.

The install (in Spanish although) has an option to install tools used (exe and sources). Feel free to check them if you want.

Can you upload your tools in zip-arhive file?

exe-installer seems not working for me.

I've updated the installer in clandlan.net webpage. Some of the admins with Win10 reported that the installer was not working for him (I have W8.1).

Try now, this time it has worked for him.

You can install (decompress) the files in any folder (you don't need U8).

Thank you.

Trying to extract eusecode by "u8ft.exe -x eusecode.flx", and it crashed at start.
Maybe it needs some dll's?

It needs probably .NET runtimes. Try the last one.

You have the sources also, you can compile them if you want.

I've only tested the tools with the latest v2.12/v2.13 English Versión (with English/French/German languages).

What type of error gives it to you?

Maybe it needs also VC++ Runtimes. I have not tried the tools in an environment without .NET or without VC++ runtimes, sorry.

They are 32bit.

Another question, running u8ft without parameters, prints Usage?

Nope, without parameters it prints nothing and close very fast.
By using "-x" parameter it crashes but says nothing except windows trying to solve problem by debug and close after that without any warning.

Ok, later i'll update all libraries and try again.

I think there is two ways how to solve this problem:
1) Recompile application in 64bit
2) Virtualize old Win XP(32bit) machine on Windows 7

I've done it and have it working (the .exe) in W8.1 64 bit. The tool used is Visual C++ 2010 Express (build with 32bit option).

Well, if possible, that another person runs it and explains a bit if it is working for him. I can not help more.

Is VB Graphical tool working for you?

Well, if you have installed Vc++ 2010 express, before reinstalling Windows, I'll try to rebuild the sources. It is very easy.

At least try only for u8ft.cpp.

What are you referring to?

The compiled exes are inside the executable. All I've done is in the install program. I have nothing more.

I mean that if you have installed VC++ 2010, what I'm trying to say is that it would be easy to compile it by your own right?

Although I compile them again, the result would be the same (at least for you). I have them in my environment compiled and this tools work well.

Ok, I've tested the tools in another computer without VC++ 2010 Express, although I have VC++ Runtimes and .NET. They work flawlessly.

I'm sorry, but I think you should compile the tools in your environment.

Which error gives to you when compiling the tool?

Try this in your build:

Project Properties->Configuration Properties->Linker->System

Assign to "Stack Reserve Size" -> 2000000 (this is 2MB).

I have tested all of your tools (ft,dec, calc, comp), everything is all right. Masterpiece! Fonts and text are done already couple years ago.

p.s: language - russian. We have graphic unpacker/packer for ultima underworld, if you need - let me know.

Oh, are you with (or from) Mira Iriarte translation he begun? I tried to contact him to know about the tools he used (at that moment I have not developed anything and was trying to do spanish traslation)... but finally I decided to do my own tools, I have never response from him (I sent some PM in russian fórums)... xD

Well, the most difficult part for russian I assume it will be that the texts get correct with table.txt file when compiling them. Check it well, I only used a few chars. Maybe you need some few mores than in latin characters.

Have in mind that plaques and tomstones only have 125 chars.
