1. When i change a chunk to a house how do i add a roof to the house without it falling to the ground, I can get the roof sprites to stay on the edge of the houses but not in the middle.
2. I was trying to fool around and make a library sort of but when I try to place bookshelves on the walls one above another like they have in the game i get a red x and it won't let me place them, so how can i place the shelves on the walls?
3. Third and final. Regarding npc schedules. How do i get the coordinates on the map of where I want the npc's I create to do the tasks i specify. For example say at Noon I want my npc to "Eat" at the monitor inn and at 3pm I want him to "Wander" at the list field. How do i get the coordinates of these two different places so I can enter them into exult studio's npc schedule thing.
Thanks in advance.
Sean

1+2 select all you want to have high up and edit "lift"
3. Teleport your avatar there and then hit F2

Also for 1 & 2, there are keyboard shortcuts for moving the selected objects up and down. I think they're ctrl-page-up and ctrl-page-dn.

This section of the studio docs might be interesting to you:

That's a really nice document.
One change, fairly recent since I'm in the process of tweaking things: A 'hostile' monster will no longer attack automatically; you have to set its schedule to 'combat'. This fixes the problem of the Wisps attacking, something they don't do in the original.
I've also noticed that some of the reapers (trees), while hostile, have their schedules set to 'sleep'. I'll have to check the original to see what happens, but I vaguely remember that they go into combat mode if you hang around them long enough.

Thanks a bunch for the answers, I feel like a total idiot because those couple things I was having problems with were totally easy to figure out, i shoulda took the time to figure them out myself but then again it took me forever to get my config file correct so the map would actually save, even after reading the studio docs. Keep up the great work! Studio sure beats back when I was a kid hack moving everything and trying to make my own houses and schedules and stuff!

A couple other things:
Due to a limitation in the U7 savegame formats, the schedule positions always have to be at ground level (even though ES appears to let you set it higher).
Also, considering Dominus' suggestion to teleport the Avatar to the desired position: Might it be nice to have a buttons in the schedule panel to take the Avatar's current position and store it for the schedule? This would replace the "click" buttons, which don't do anything.
