Fire and Lightning Wands

Aren't these supposed to disappear when empty in SI?

Not to my knowledge. As far as I can remember they just stick around after they run out of charges, even in the vanilla dos version.
There's at least one wand that you can find which is already empty. (Monastery Catacombs)

Yes, the torches are spent and the wands are empty but both stick around.

If only there was a spell to recharge them, similar to the create ammo spell. :)

Perhaps a piece of equipment in Alagner's or somewhere else in New Magincia plus some reagents. Isn't this just an integer property of the wands that could theoretically be bumped up with usecode? Then again.. I guess it's just not necessary.
I swear.. I'll get back into learning modding eventually! No one likes someone who just asks others to do their work...

I could be done that way, but I haven't examined how. Maybe the Bucket code for SIfixes could be useful?

My guess as to why they "stay" when depleted is the Avatar is the most likely character to use them, and also the most likely character to be carrying glass swords. So if they were to vanish, the game would ready the glass sword next as the most powerful weapon.
