Hi guys!

I have bought a watch with 32MB Flashmemory on it. (look here for a picture: https://www.laks.com/img/1510_1_d.jpg )

On this watch i have installed Ultima 7 Black Gate and Exult and got ~ 5 MB free.

So now i carry my britannia all the time with me and i can play Ultima everywhere where a PC is. It runs well.

The problem:
I would like to have the Paperdolls from Serpent Isle activated in my BG-installation, but on my watch there isnt space enough for BG AND SI. I own both games.
Is there a possiblity to activate the SI-paperdolls with only installing the necessary files on my watch? i have only ~5 MB left...

thx for help,

trev

I would guess the required files are paperdol.vga, faces.vga and maybe (?) shapes.vga.

Also, you should have SI configured in your exult.cfg (even though you don't have it installed). This way BG will know where the SI files are in.

Exult checks for paperdol.vga, shapes.vga, gumps.vga.
However, shapes.vga isn't strictly needed if you only want to use SI paperdolls. (Instead of both paperdolls and multi-racial avatars.)

So, if you feel like cheating a bit, you can use any other (smaller) .vga file as long as you name it shapes.vga.

paperdol.vga is ~290Kb, gumps.vga is ~350Kb, so together with, for example, fonts.vga as shapes.vga (at ~150Kb), this should easily fit.

As Artaxerxes mentioned, you need to properly configure serpent isle in your .exult.cfg file. (And put the three required files in the static/ directory.)

Watch as in something that tells time? I wonder why someone would ever need to put data on their watch.

Because it's really something most people carry around anyway. As I'm not carrying a watc h for years now it is definitely not something for me especially as those watches don't appeal to me (but that's really a personal opinion).

The reason for someone wanting to store data on a watch is because it usually stays on your wrist and there is much less risk of leaving it somewhere or someone stealing it while you look away.

Trust me on this, the USB memory keys/sticks/whatever are easy to lose, but an USB memory watch stays on your wrist (they come with an extension cable so you don't have to take it off).

these watches are even bootable!

the new ones will feature 512MB and 1GB space with USB2.0 speed.

really nice :)

and Gradilla is right, its really helpful that you cant lose it easily.
