Infinity bow is not a regular game weapon. It's an easter egg and can only be gotten by cheating.

Nnot exactly. There is at least three you can grab legitimately; two are in the Shrine of Balance and one is tucked away in Fawn.

The one at the very beginning of the game is an easter egg. The one you list DMagnus are not, nor the one in the Dream Realm. All four of those are accessible via normal play.

I managed to snag it once in the dos version.
I kept running down the coast, opened the inventory and managed to grab it by a few pixels. After that the game teleported me to the next beach.
Might have had the perfect hardware for it, I dunno.

That said, you shouldn't be able to get it under normal circumstances, so not a bug.

@poster: If you think Exult gives you problems, don't play it, that simple.
