Exult Forum

I was wondering why the people at Exult haven't made the emulator work for Ultima VIII, because I really liked U8 and it would be really cool to play it under Windows instead of having to have a seperate machine (which I'm sure most of us would have to to play U8) to play it. Because most of the people I know that like Ultima use OS's like Win2k that can't support DOS or have a procesor that makes Moslo unusable. Besides, I bet that would get Exult a lot more activity (which I'm pretty sure it gets a lot, but why not, eh?) and also help us who miss U8 and can't afford to get a machine that can support it.

As for why it hasn't been done quicker... it's damn hard work.

First of, why don't you read the FAQ.
Also a machine that can play U8 is not costing much at all. On ebay I wager the biggest cost would be shipping.
And last but not least when you either search the forum or even look at our links section you will find ways to play U8 in Windows.

Keep in mind that Exult took 3-4 years before U7 was playable, and there was already a lot more documentation about U7.
