Crashing and compiling problems both solved

I'm the one who reported that Exult would crash immediately upon startup on my RedHat 7.1 machine. I finally solved the problem by upgrading SDL from 1.2.2 to 1.2.3. Once I upgraded the library, Exult works fine for me.
I also had a problem which I reported here about not being able to compile the game from source. I ended-up being able to trace that back to a C++ header file that was modified on my system (I actually had to comment-out some lines in one to get something to compile, but forgot to change it back afterwards). Once I changed the header back to normal, the game compiled fine. Boy, I feel dumb for that one.
Thanks to everyone who offered their advice for each problem.
