BG and SI Crashes

Dear viewers, I've recently downloaded Exult again, and got my Ultima 7 and Serpent Isle copies reloaded... but now I'm having problems.
When I try and start up Ultima 7 (BG) in Exult, it goes through the intro fine and stuff, but just closes the entire program where the Trinsic scene should be.

Now, when I try Serpent Isle.. it does the exact same thing. Closes the program after the blue hypnotic loading screen... just before the ship scene. The intros for both games work just fine... but... why is this happening? I got a message the other night about some 'identity' file, but not entirely sure what that's about.

Some help would be greatly appreciated. (My versions of U7 and SI are those from the Ultima Collection cd). Exult version 1.1 Beta 3.

Thanks!

Which operating system are you using?

If some Windows variety, can you run Exult until it crashes, and then post the first and last parts of your stdout.txt and stderr.txt?

Alright. I just reformatted my computer and everything. (I'd been having problems for months and decided that now would be a good time, as even The Sims wouldn't work for me anyways) Sooo... now that I'm back in Windows, I tried installing Exult again, added BG and SI again. Re-ran it and got the same problem. Weird. But after retrying, and going to 'Start New Game' instead of 'Journey Onward', it works.

I wonder, if for anyone else, if you choose 'Journey Onward' on a fresh install, if it will create the problem listed in my first post. Curious if it's a bug or just an isolated incident.

Journey onward was broken in 1.1beta3 if you had a currently running game in BG/SI. It should be fixed in current CVS.
