1.1.9rc1?

The FAQ states that the latest release is 1.1.9rc1, and the files are shown on the SourceForge site, but they aren't actually present.
Maybe I'm just impatient and they are currently being uploaded?

This is a new version, even the frontpage doesn't mention it. My guess is, the team's busy uploading it. I'd try again tommorow.

This is good news...I'll likely start up BG fresh with this new RC...

Wjp and Ryan are both working on the release. You probably came in during the process.

Looks like the secret is out :-)

Yes, 1.1.9rc1 is released, and will be announced sometime today, probably. (We were just waiting a while for the files to propagate to all the SF download mirrors.)

and as always when we release something seems to be wrong with sourceforge, meaning it takes its sweet time to shovel it onto the mirrors...

the link of the mirrors is dead

Just a quick note: currently, four of the sourceforge mirrors have the 1.1.9rc1 release: aleron, twtelecom, easynews, umn.

We're hoping the others will get it soon.

We've gone from 100% perfect to 120%:-)

Actually, there have been many bugs fixed since the last beta.

A lot of the cheat menu keys no longer seem to work, though...

Ctrl+C to create item, for one. I'll go check and see what else doesn't work..... Just a moment.

Ctrl+c is now bound to Insert (as Ctrl+C was more useful to bind to copy object in regard to Exult Studio). Been that ever since we started work on post-1.0 Exult.

Okay, so far, Ctrl+ C, Ctrl + v, and Ctrl + x are not working. The Pick pockets command also is not working neither in SI or BG, whether I continue from an old save or start a new game.

(Oh, and I am running Win 98 if you must know)

All the other keys thus far seem to be working fine. Also, the phylactery that you get from the storm... It isn't animated and looks all weird.

BTW, a couple other things... Ever since version 1.0, the music has been all weird for me. (I have no idea what sound card I'm using, and I can't seem to find any info on it) Alsp, the Juggernaut hammer, Light Helm, and Sword of Defense don't glow. I don't know if that's just me or not.

Have you enabled, cheats and have you gone into map edit mode? Also means you need Exult Studio (or these commands don't make much sense)

The what? Please send a savegame if you think this is not working correctly.
the Juggernaut hammer, Light Helm, and Sword of Defense don't glow.
Willem fixed this this week so this might be in recent snapshots (if he fixed it and not only talked about the solution)

Care to elaborate? What is weird and how do you think it should work? Also take a look at the documentations music csection and tell me which mode you are running (digital, midi, fmsynth). Also the audio part of your exult.cfg might be nice to have here.

Whoops, crap, I meant to remove the pick pocket part before I posted that. The pick pockets command works fine, it's the other three that doesn't.

By weird I mean um... How to explain...
Okay, for the combat song it sounds like a weird MIDI-ish
"beep........... beep......... beep"

And the bar song sounds like "doo-doo-dah.... doo-doo-dah.... doo-doo-dah..."

Uh... how do I find out whether I'm running in MIDI, digital, or FM synth mode?

In the game: Hit ESC, choose the "Audio" menu, then look at what "Conversion" is set to. The "beep beep beep" and "doo-doo-doo", are those like the noises from an old-style PC speaker?

Um, DrCode, that is no longer true. Just read our homepage :-)

The 'conversion' option is no longer used to select Midi, Digital or FMSynth music. You now use the 'driver' option in the Audio Options Gump

he he, didn't even talk about pick pocket mode above, kind of overlooked it. But the ctr+x/c/v, do they work when you follow my instructions above? (cheat mode, map-edit mode, exult studio?) Ctrl+x is cut+copy, ctrl+c is copy, ctrl+v is paste.

As for your music problem, first I do suggest you read the documentation as if you had you'd know how to figure out which kind of music driver you are using in Exult. Go into the in-game menu , by Esc, choose audio, look at driver (to see what digital, midi, fmsynth do, read the documentation). I guess you are using midi. Next set conversion to none and disable effects. maybe now it sounds better.

I fixed the Juggernaut Hammer not glowing. I don't remember the Light Helm and Sword of Defense glowing, though.

What are you talking about? You can't go into map-edit mode while playing the game, and that is what I am talking about, while playing the game, not while playing Exult Studio.

so why do you need map-edit commands while playing the game?
As I wrote these commands only make sense when map-editing with Exult Studio and that's why these only work then.

No, no, I'm talking about the ctr-v/c/x! They don't work in 1.19rc! SOmeone said I need Exult Studio and then use the map making tool. I was asking how to get those commands to work again (ctr+v/c/x) in-game.

Press Ctrl-Alt-M to enter map-edit mode.

Select an object (or several objects) by clicking on it. (Use ctrl-click for multiple objects)

Press Ctrl-X to cut the selected objects.
Press Ctrl-C to copy the selected objects.

Press Ctrl-V and click somewhere to paste the selected objects.

since this is a general topic i should say here that Armageddon still isnt working like it should :P

2 things still not working about it

1) magic should be disabled, even in Wizard mode
and
2)everyone should be asleep, not dead, so you cant randomly run around looting them

that's how it worked originally :P

Okay, but now how do I create items from the ctrl B menu? THAT is what I am asking. Used to be ctr+c, but that doesn't work anymore.

And please don't say static files only (or whatever those files are called). I already know about that.

Oblivious, we do have a, sometimes not that up to date, documentation which lists all the keys.
