Gump Problems

When ever I open any Gump in BG, be it my invintory, a tresure chest, a box - what ever the game crashes . . . it just closes. I don't have this problem in SI.

I running windows XP and I'm using exult version 1.1.3 and Stderr says "Fatal signal: Segmentation Fault (SDL Parachute Deployed)"

I haven't done anything (I don't think) that would cause this problem, except maybe upgrading to XP, I had been playing the game and using Exult Studio before upgrading to XP.

Here is my Exult.config file

c:\u7\ultima7

C:\Program Files\Exult\patch

bgdefaultkeys.txt

data/exult_bg.flx

c:\u7\serpent

sidefaultkeys.txt

data/Exult_si.flx

Does it still happen if you have sound disabled?

Anything before the segfault in stderr.txt? Anything relevant near the end of stdout.txt?

Did you also try the latest 1.1.9rc1 release? (Or 1.1.9rc1a for windows)

Yeah, when I disabled the sound effects everything works properly, and it did get sound errors in stderr . . . I guess I assumed it wasn't important.

and on the other note - does the 1.1.9 release support exult studio

thanks

Which sound errors did you get in stderr?

The windows 1.1.9rc1 release doesn't support exult studio, but the current snapshots do.

You just need to bring your sound files closer, they're out of range.

Oh, I see the problem.

exult_bg.flx and exult_si.flx are not wave packs. You probably meant jmsfx.flx and jmsisfx.flx.
