Exult Forum

So, Exult can sometimes run very slow. This is especially noticeable when running away from enemies. It's almost slide show-like slow. Exult can be slower, actually, than running it natively - in my case on a Pentium Pro 180.

I'm running Exult on a Xeon X5460 - it's Core2-era hardware. Certainly not the latest and greatest, but I don't think it should be this slow.

And this isn't a knock on the project -- It's great! I'm just not sure if this is something I've misconfigured, or if it's just the nature of the beast?

You are supposed to be slower when fleeing. But it helps to set the fps to ten in the gameplay options
