SI crash when getting tattoo

My game crashes everytime the avatar wants to get his tattoo in monitor, he'll approach the chair and then the game crashes. I've tried reloading my save a couple of times with no effect

My exult version is 1.4.03 with the avatar pack mod...

Since this issue keeps popping up, I am isolating the fix from the other stuff I am working on and will be committing it soon.

The fix is away; the crash should no longer happen in the next snapshot.

Seems like there're problems when interacting with npcs now, they are unable to approach you and you have to stand directly in front of them to talk to them. Sometimes even your party members get stuck and don't follow. Also I'm now stuck at the gates of Fawn: the little cutscene when Ruggs gives you the letter; somehow he'll get stuck and can't talk to you and it'll just stay there with Ruggs walking towards you and then away from you. You can't do anything either since it's a cutscene.

Seems now when I start a new game in SI, Iolo will not approach me and start the whole beginning speel, and I cannot move forward or force talking to him.

I have the same problem with the latest snapshot.

It actually won't be much of a problem, now that I am back in town; it will require a rollback of a few things I did with the distance function to avoid screwing up the pathfinder, and since I already have a separate checkout I did to fix those earlier problems, I will do it this tomorrow.
