Exult Forum

I installed the Exult Beta 1, U7 Black Gate and the sound-pack for it. Exult finds the sound-pack (it displays the icon for it besides the selection for BG in the startup-screen). However, the sound effects are just high-pitched noise-sounds. (VERY annoying).
I'm using WinXP. The sound-card is SB Live! Value.

hm, SB Live!
go to the Audio HQ (installed by liveware), start EAX control panel, select Audio Effects and choose "No effects". May help. That'S the first thought I have with this.
If it doesn't help, can you try playing a wave file (there are some in C:\Windows\Media (if c:\ is where you installed XP).

Works fine for me (XP, SB Live!).
