Quest Flags

Hi all,
Do you have any information on which quest flags do what in Serpent Isle?
My gf has run into a problem where on Gustacio's quest to discover the lightning colours, her NPCs don't discover anything. They just remark on the colours and then never actually say that line that starts with, "Of course! Yellow means this, Red means that, blah blah".
Then when she goes to Gustacio, he's angry because he says that she hasn't done anything--but she has!
So what's the flag for Gustacio's quest, so she can keep playing the game?
(BTW I've gotten past this point myself, so I don't know exactly what she's done wrong.)
Thanks!
Jonathan

I have a half compiled list of flags but I havn't sent it to the Exult team yet because it isn't close enough to being finished. I still plan to but have a lot of other things going on right now.
Usually someone just looks up what flag controls something whenever someone asks.
In this case try setting 227 (0xe3) and speaking to Gustacio.

That should be 230 (0xe6).

That reminds me, I need to finish up my book/scroll list and send it to the Exult team...

Thanks for the quick response! You're awesome!
I'll try it out tonight and let you know how it goes.

Bah, go get a wooden chair and place it on the machine. I am pretty sure someone ate the pumpkin at the machine, that's the reason.

Yeah, that's exactly what happened. She can't get a green lightning bolt as a result.

The wooden chair will do.

You know what, you're *exactly* right.
A wooden chair produces a green bolt. Thanks for the help.

It's interesting, because the flag 230 does indeed make Gustacio think you completed his little quest... but unfortunately when you go to Fedabiblio's crystal ball it doesn't play the Edrin->Bird scene.
Thus, there must be a second flag that gets set when you solve the lightning colour quest.
But it's okay, no need to find out which one. The wooden chair did the trick and the savegame is fixed.
Thank you!

That makes sense. The second flag would be 227 then... but getting another chair is a much better (more solid) fix.
