Exult Forum

I seem to recall playing Ultima 7 years ago that you could toss caltrops in front of guards. They'd then walk over them, ("Oww!!") until they fell unconscious & you could loot them. Actually my brother was the one to uncover this, as he was found of exploiting the game. Exult doesn't seem to model this. Is this a bug or a feature?

I just tested it and no, the guards seem to have metal shoes on or something as they don't get injured.

But in the original I liked to gather the caltrops that were in destard then stack them in one spot (exult doesn't let you stack them either), and get the dragons/drakes to follow me and they kill themselves on the pile of caltops.

You can stack them in exult. It just takes a few tries.

I think it's a bug or limitation.
