today ultima 7 crashed , an error message appears, the game suddendly ends. I wouldn't say it happens all the time but it bugs me, playing with fear. It started when i obtained the Hoe of Destruction ( on the body of a dead fish), leaving Mark's house for Britain. It crashed 2 times today, so is there any report about the Hoe of destruction make the game bug ? or may be that was just coincidenses ?

I guess you mean you found the key to Mark's Tools room inside a dead fish, and found the Hoe of Destruction in that room.

Which operating system are you using?
What are the contents of stderr.txt and stdout.txt after it crashes?
What was the error message you referred to?

I'm sorry, of course i meant i obtained the KEY inside the dead fish and got the Hoe in Mark's tool room thanks to the key. LOL !
I'm using the latest version of Exult, 1.1.10rc2 , i use XP. The error is actually the "usual" windows message type : That programm can not continue, please send it to miscosoft but that's nothing nasty i guess.
Anyway i played a lot today and didn't meet that problem again, so we better forget it, i thank you both for your concern. ( can't say exactly in english) Thanks to exult my dream came true ( since 1997 i got both U7 and SI and always got into trouble trying them to work)
