This isn't exactly an Exult problem but hopefully some kind soul will help.
I have my original boxed floppy disk version (with cloth map and talisman!) that I want to install and run under XP - problem is I get an install error, the install program tells me there's a DOS drive error and asks me to close the latch on drive D even though I'm installing from floppy A.
The same thing happens if I try copying the files onto hard disk and installing from there.
Help!
TIA

Re: Last resort
insert a CD in drive D.
The original was from atime that CD-Rom drives were not common and sees the CD-Rom drives as hard drives and tries to get the availlable hard drive space. When you put in a CD it should work. At least that's how I got it to work once.
Of course nowadays I've got a 6-in-1 card reader hooked up to my machine and the install wants me to close the latch on all these drives....
If the above doesn't help post again and I'll tell you how to set up dosbox so you can install from there (but you have to hurry, from tomorrow morning I'm gone for a couple of days)
