[OT] Feedback on a model

I'm working on a model of the Black Sword, but I'm lacking in original art (no sources). This isn't really true to the original (in the way that it doesn't look evil enough) and I really want to make it look like the original. I did this off memory and it's a draft, so don't be hard on me if you want to leave feedback. Try to make any constructive criticism!

Sorry! I forgot that Angelfire won't let you link straight to them.
Here are links to them:

Looks pretty nice. Is this a 3D model?

The handle looks kinda short for a 2-handed sword. Otherwise I'd say it's a good start. Going from memory I'd say that the crossguard should be more jagged and sharp. Also I've always imagined the hilt to be covered in runes, but I guess that can come last.

As for the hilt, look at the last image - that's one of the suggestions I took! It's probably not perspective correct enough for you to tell on the last one. If you saw the whole blade with it, I'm sure you'd stand corrected. Thanks for the other feedback, though. I'll add in runes on the handle. I just need to know what they should say!

The Complete Ultima 7 Box has a picture of the black sword on the front.

I don't have the box, only the Ultima Collection. My copy of the Complete Ultima 7 got pawned off without my consent. If you have it, can you scan it for me? I don't think there's anything illegal about it. If you have any other sources, it would be very appreciated!

The picture there is most likely the same as the Forge of Virtue cover. Looky here:

Yes, that's the same image as the one on the Complete U7.

Looks like there aren't any runes there after all. Just as well, those etchings make it look pretty nasty as well. The dialogue picture from Serpent Isle would probably also be useful. I could send it in a couple of days unless somebody beats me to it... More on the model, it would be nice if the gem would look more embedded. Currently it looks too much like there's just a concave disk on the surface of the hilt.

Just out of curiosity, why did you guys remove the ? It's not about Exult, it's just about Ultima 7!

Maybe something somewhere interpreted it as an HTML tag.
