Exult Forum

Hallo,
I tried to download Exult 1.2 for the Zaurus, but for some reasons the IPK seems broken. I cannot install it and if I try to open it on my PC I receive a lot of errors.

As I tried to Dload from almost all the Sourceforge mirrors and with different browsers, I suspect it is an issue with the IPK itself.
Did someone manage to install it?

finally, I got to try it out again, sorry for the delay.

I've managed to install the package without a hitch at all, I could even start a new game or load an existing game and indeed it said it was 1.2, so I'm not delirious (yet).

Now, make sure the package has a md5sum of :
fb98547f218a169da39e59097b38deb5 exult_1.2_arm.ipk

if not, download it again. If it still doesn't work, post a message here and we'll upload the zaurus package again.

If your md5sum is the same one, make sure you installed SDL and SDL_mixer from www.gnurou.org and post your stderr.txt and stdout.txt here (exult 1>/tmp/stdout.txt 2>/tmp/stderr.txt)

I tried to dowload again the IPK, form 2 different mirrors and with 2 browsers (Firefox and IE).
In both cases I received a broken IPK and with the same checksum:
6818f18d56316b75ec8646d8fa3e3b26 *exult_1.2_arm.ipk

That is different than yours.

Did you try to install the uploaded version?
I managed to dload other IPK from where I am (including the latest 2 RC for the Z), with no problems.

For the moment I am using the latest RC.

it was determined that the package was not uploaded properly (seems the package was not in full).

Consequently, the package will be uploaded again and hopefully it will be good. When all of that is done, we'll post a message here to inform you and everyone else.

Please go to the download section to fetch the Zaurus package.
I used the Aleron mirror and it worked great.
