Hey I have a question about dungeon Deceit:

I have the enchanted ethereal ring but when I walk into the room with the tetrahedron generator I can't seem to get in ( I had already released my party). Lightning shoots out from the generator on one end and regardless of how much I click around nothing happens.

Any help you can give me would be much appreciated.

Hey do you think maybe its because I had the ring enchanted by penumbra BEFORE I went to the sphere generator for the first time? Could that possibly be the reason?

As long as you are wearing the enchanted ring (it will be glowing) then you should have no problems as far as I know. The sphere generator has nothing to do with it.

Having lightning continuously firing at you means that you aren't wearing the enchanted ring. Are you sure you are wearing it? And is it definately enchanted?

Yeah the enchanted ring is on my hand and its glowing green. I think i'll mark my location and go back to penumbra and reenchant it if i can.

You didn't put on the wrong ring by accident or anything, did you?

The ring will glow when wearing it no matter what. Take it off and see if it is glowing (that is surrounded by a glow, not just the gem on top)

Hey guys back again--I mark and recalled and went back to penumbra, and she told me she already enchanted the ring; i have the ring on when i go there. When I go there, I leave my party in the adjoining hallway; should I bring everyone into the room with the generator? This is really frustrating cuz it seems like I'm the only one having this problem....and I wanna fight this big red guy everyone keeps talking about!!!

Actually, as I remember, the lightning bolts still shoot out regardless, the
fact that they don't kill you means the ring is working.
IIRC isn't there a teleport egg you have to step on to get inside?

Alright this is getting really weird

I can see the trap when I use cheats, but even when i use the hack mover to remove the trap, I still can't get in. SO I load the game and this time (w/o cheats) the lightning doesn't come out BUT nothing happens when I approach/stand next to the doorway.

How do I get in? Do you guys know of a cheat that I can use to go around this problem? Why would it only be occurring in my system when everyone else is okay? I have my system stats above, and followed the currect installation procedures. My copy of the game is legal and complete.

Please send me your savegame and I'll see what is up and if I can't find anything I'll make a proper bug report. Ok?

Just as I thought. You are not wearing the ring, but holding it in your hand. Pull the ring to one of your hands. You might want to unequip the gauntlets.

It's not mess... it's 'keeping everything handy at once'.

hah yeah but every once in a while I have to play "find the spellbook"

I believe it is easier to simply press the 'B' button on your keyboard.

ahh damn i keep forgetting about the b button
