This has bothered me for ages: Who was the woman Ensorcio enchanted?

suade... her to see him.\"");
UcSay;
UcMessage("\"I was surprised the Council punished him with simpl

his crime!\"");
==========
cmps("Adept's daughter");
UcMessage("\"Oh, no! Thou shalt not have her name to drag throug
h the mud alongside Ensorcio! Never!\"");
UcSay;
UcMessage("\"I cared enough for her to spend my magics upon her,
hoping that she would come to care for me. I'll not have thee blacken her name,

Can't find any other info about it.

Hrm. Wickedly frustrating. I asked one of the SI experts what the answer was back when the game first came out, and she told me, "Just think about it and you'll figure it out." Erm, thanks.

Makes me want to replay the game just to draw a diagram of all the women in the city and work it out by brute force.

You can't work it out. Because there is no adept alive that has a daughter. The only person it could really be is the ice mage, but that wouldn't make sense because there is no way the mage lord would let him off with just exile. So, I guess she doesn't actually exist in the game.

Either Rotulancia or Frigidazzi. I doubt it is Columna.

Forgot to mention, in Ensorcio's usecode, when he talks about Batlin and Palos, he comments about Rotulancias obsession for controlling daemons, and wishes he could reach her and tell her about them.

Actually... Technically Petra is an adept's "daughter," isn't she?

He talks about Rotoluncia because he knows that she very much would like to put Filbercio six feet under (which he'd also enjoy), and thinks that her knowing the secret to controling 'daemons' would let her do it.

There was some supposition, back in the day, that the unidenfied and unspeaking naked woman on the northwestern coast of Moonshade's island was the adept's daughter in question.

Hmm... maybe it is the woman with the baby in the Mountains of Freedom...

Actually, that wouldn't make sense. It was a very long time ago that he was exiled

Heh, you beat me to mention it, ThePal.
Usecode:
========
UcMessage(" Old man, if thou dost truly wish to survive Freedom, but dost feel that thou canst live to tell the tale of Lorthondo's final test, thou hast only to serve in my slave pit. Tend to my pets and I shall personally show thee to the door and to the blue skies of daylight and freedom. Guard my nightmare and care for him well.~ He is a treasure and a daemon in one. Take him through the teleporter once each day and let him feel the grass beneath his hooves.~ Take care, for one strike of his hoof could kill an old fool such as thou. ~ Be thou sure to keep Sabrina from him. I fear that she doth frighten him. I find it strange that such a wild, untamed creature such as that should be frightened of her touch. Then again, mayhaps I can fathom why. ~");
UcSay;
UcMessage(" Lastly, take great care of my small furry prize. Do not be fooled by its diminutive size, it hath taken the lives of many a foolhardy man who dared to approach thinking it might make a tasty morsel.~ Thou shouldst treat it with as much respect as thou wouldst bestow upon me. If thou dost not, either one of us could end thy miserable existence.~ In the supply room, thou wilt find a year's worth of carrots for Buggs. Feed him but one per day. Place the carrots upon his golden plate -- 'tis the only way that he will feed. He is of royal lineage -- a born predator. If thou dost not, thou mayest find that thou art his next meal.~ Serve me well, old man, and thou mayest live to see the outside of this prison some year...");

Hmm... why did you post that usecode?

Anyhoo... I've decided to list facts the SI tells us about this...

- He was exiled for using magic to get the daughter of an Adept. It says that mages are protective of their own, almost certainly meaning either the father or the boyfriend was the one behind getting him kicked out.

- Flindo is suprised Ensorcio got exile instead of being sent to the Mountains of Freedom. This means that Filbercio was the Mage Lord at the time since he is the one who turned the mountains into a prison.

- Flindo says it happened before he was born. So it happened at least 30 years before, probably more. So the daughter does not need to be young anymore.

- Ensorcio says he doesn't want to drag her name through the mud. So she is still alive?

Ok... at the moment who can we rule out? We can rule out is Selene since she is too young. And Drogeni can probably be ruled out since I get the feeling she was one of the original mages to come to SI and therefore her father wouldn't be a SI adept, plus she is dead so wouldn't fit the last point above.

Who is left... Frigidazzi, Columna, Mosh, Bucia, Julia and Rotoluncia...

Columna is unlikely. She only recently found the comb of beauty (otherwise Lady Yelinda wouldn't have been ruler). Then again, it was a long time ago. But I doubt it. Nothing fits.

As for everyone else... I don't think we'll ever know. There is no clues to tell us.

I wonder if the plot documents would be any help on this... I'm too tired to
get them out and look over 'em...
Maybe later.

Heh, correcting, I did not mean the woman with the baby, but the one that asks you to lead her to her nightmare. Her name is Sabrina and she is mentioned in the piece of usecode I posted. Guess I was sleepy when I read ThePal's post.

Regarding Selena/Celennia. There's actually a very good reason why it
can't be her, and it isn't her age. Celennia's parents were knights of Montor.
(she's Lydia's sister, remember?)

I know, that's how I know she can't be old like the other mages. I only needed to list one reason though
