okkkkkk it seems that i cant even install U7....i dont have the collection...im tryin to install it from the "complete ultima 7" disk...well anyways..i have windows XP and when i tried to install it...it said *Something has put your system in protected mode Ultima 7- The Black Gate cannot run in this mode-remove the offending software and put your system in real mode to play the game*....what does that mean!? lol THEN it says..."your current system config is not compatible with U7"....and asks if i wanna make a boot disk....does anyone kno whats going on with this!?

Just copy U7 to your hard drive and then install Exult and point it to where you copied u7 to.

Yeah, don't worry about the messages while installing saying you can't run it on your machine. Exult and the other ways of playing Ultima 7 in windows get around those problems

thanks everyone....ah but of course...i need more help! what are u supposed to change with the configuration file? i see the normal one and then the sample one...and some "data" paths are added....would someone tell me how to do this or email me THEIR config. file?
