Bad Disk workaround?

Hello,

I was so happy to find this site. U7 SI was one of the games that I never finished. So I dug out all of the floppies and started to install them. However my disk 7 has a problem. The file "Sidisk31" will not unzip, I keep getting a error in the install screen. -Bah- Saddly this stops the install as well, I see that there is another file "sidisk40" as well on this disk, so it will not install either.
I am trying to install this on an old Win 98 system, using the dos mode. So does anyone have any helpfull tips that I can try to get data out of this file (maybe any PKunzip tips)?

Thanks,

Doug

Sounds like the file is corrupt. Those old disks are disintegrating. Unfortunately, the best solution is to shell out a few dollars and buy a new copy. You can probably get a copy of UIX Dragon Edition for a _lot_ less than the Ultima Collection on eBay... which will, incidentally, include a copy of the Ultima Collection. ;)

Make sure it's Dragon Edition
