Huge problems with exult

I just downloaded the newest version of exult, and already, there are problems. Night never comes, it is always daytime, 24 hours a day, game time. I even check the pocket watch. My companions are NEVER attacked by anything. the only thing they attack is the avatar. Those are the only problems i've encountered so far.

Uhhh....its a developmental version. Lots and lots of stuff is going to be broken. The game probably won't be playable for a while under the new release.

by "newest version" do you mean 1.2 or a CVS snapshot?

the 1.2. I know the snapshots are unstable. It's the most recent full exult you have on there.

I don't have any major problems with 1.2, so I can't really help you.
Day and night work just fine here.

Also, I did not mean to sound like a jerk, but I was just assuming you were trying 1.4.x.

Maybe your game files are corrupted or something. Something certainly doesn't seem right. I'd offer to give you the bytecode files, but you may be using a different version of U7 than me and that would likely cause more harm than not.

Wish I could offer you more advice. Just make sure you are using the latest stable version (1.2) and that you have a good copy of the game. What did you use to install If that is all true then there is something really messed up somewhere.

The development version shouldn't be too bad, either. If it gets broken, I'd expect a lot more posts here about it (which is good, so we can fix it).

Day/night I've noticed won't work right if you have used the cheat screen to adjust the game time/day. Other than that, I haven't noticed anything messing up with it.
