Was the view so close in the original release of U7? I mean, the Avatar must have severe cataracts since he can't see more than 10 ft in front of him.

This vision problem makes sailing almost impossible. Is there a remedy I can use to actually see farther than 10 ft in front of me? Scaling perhaps?

320x200 is the resolution of the original.

If you want to view a larger area, increase the resolution in the video options menu. Note that this can be considered cheating...
