Warren Spector is leaving Ion Storm. From what I understand he will stay on as a consultant to Eidos Entertainment and assist them in the next Tomb Raider. Let us hope that he moves on to something better!

In case some of you don't know, Warren Spector was responsible for:

Ultima Worlds of Adventure: Martian Dreams
Ultima Worlds of Adventure: Savage Empire
Ultima VII: Serpent Isle
Ultima Underworlds 1 & 2
System Shock 1
Thief 1, 2 & 3
Deus Ex 1 & 2

I'm sure I missed something, but that is one hell of a resume if you ask me!

Makes me want to dig out my copy of Martian Dreams (If I can find it) and finish that game.

One of these days....

I'm playing Martian Dreams right now (part of the reason I haven't done anything on Exult for a while...). It works fine in Windows98, except for the speed, but it's reasonably playable using the cursor keys.

I thought Spector was the head of Ion Storm.

Hm.. I found a pretty interesting interview.. It's from 1993, a gaming magazine interviews Warren Spector about SI.
