Question about Ultima 3

I notice Iolo and Dupre (maybe Jaana, too?) are present in Ultima 3. Having already created 4 characters, I wonder if I could have asked them to join my party?

Anyhoo, most of my chars are level 10+ already, but in retrospect I would have preffered to be adventuring with the classic team.

No, unfortunately you can't have anyone join you in U3. It would be a cool feature to add for a remake though.

How are you playing U3? Is there a remade version? After playing U1 and U2, I didn't want to face another too-fast game.

He also has patches for other old ultima games.

I played through the Lairware Mac version, on the Basilisk II mac emulator for the PC. Lairware definitely made the best version of U3 in existence and I was happy to pay $15 for it.

I'm also playing the Lairware version, on my Mac iBook.

Dosbox would be great if it slows it down enough.

IIRC, you can control the speed of the emulation and the frameskip in Dosbox using CTRL-F7, CTRL-F8, CTRL-F10 and CTRL-F11

Yes, the Lairware version is the best. It works on several emulators if you don't have access to a Mac box.
