Old accounts are reinstated for 2 weeks starting today. Personally, I'm really curious how the world is now, after a 3-4 year absence.

Too bad I'm so hooked on U3 right now, else I'd prolly get hooked back into UO... though, getting hooked on UO is far from healthy. heh.

Who cares? It's probably not anything like the real brittania... (because EA sucks)
Ultima Online sucks anyway... We could care less about Ultima Online in the forum of an engine for Ultima 7.

I disagree. It's _everything_ like the real Brittania, just because I feel like arguing semantics. Anyhow, I found the post interesting and informative despite the fact that I do not play UO. Besides, what's so off-topic about this post that wasn't off-topic in that thread about Warren Spector leaving Ion Storm, or trying to run UIX in XP?

yeah off-topic discussions are taking over but I wouldn't worry about it until mods say it's way OT.
And with people asking for a multiplayer U7 every now and then, and us pointing towards UO, it is not even really OT....

I found the Brittania of UO to be very *true* to what I've come to know as Britannia (though, my experience in Ultima is mostly U4/U5).

On a side note, you can get Ultima 9 working in XP by installing the unofficial Version 1.19f patch, which can be found here.

On another side note, I should point out that more and more people hang out here, even though more than half neither play Ultima 7 nor use Exult. Probably because of Google.
