I have played through about half the game when I tried speeking to that cyclops north of Moonglow. The game froze up and now every time I try to load exult it is very tiny in the top left corner of the screan and I can't run any of the options. I even tried erasing exult and downloading it again. Help someone please!

Could you be more specific? What exactly do you mean with "very tiny in the top left corner" ?

The exult screen pops up but it only takes up about 1/5th of the screen. Then it says something about beta something or other and it doesn't show any of the options.

Is the window just really small, or is part of the window outside of the screen? Details please.

Your exult.cfg file may be corrupted. Can you list the contents here?

I'm sorry let me try to be more clear. The exult window takes up the entire screen but the exult logo is tiny up at the left corner. After a second or two the right side of the logo gets dark and then it has a few numbers and the word beta pop up a little lower and to the right of the logo. If I play with the mouse I can get the options to partially appear over the logo but I can't seem to choose any.

Sorry, you are dealing with a computer novice. I tried opening the file with acrobat reader by accident and now the file is marked by an acrobat reader logo which I can't figure out how to change. I'm trying.

Its not the size that counts, its how you use it!

there should be a file called exult.cfg in the folder you have exult installed in... what you posted is probably from stdout.txt

if you really are a total computer novice, you most likely have the ridiculous windows feature turned on that hides extensions, thus rendering you unable to see anything after the . in filenames (thus exult.cfg will appear as 'exult').

try going to:
my computer
view
folder options
click on the 'view' tab
uncheck 'hide extension for known file types' (or something similar)
then go to your exult directory and you should be able to see exult.cfg

click on it, then select 'notepad' from the list that comes up, and you should be able to read it :)

if you knew all this stuff before, don't take this as a condescending post, merely trying to be helpful :)
