Ok, here's the situation, I'm in Shamino's castle, in the inner keep. Once I set off the egg around the corner through the door to the right, my game crashes. I've tried many times to reboot etc. with no success. I am using Serpent Isle from the collection CD, it has Silver Seed. I am using Exult beta0.96. Can anyone give me a little help?

here is the last part of stdout.txt

This sounds familiar. The last time I saw this crash it was caused by savegame corruption.

ok, so how can I tell if a savegame is not corrupted? I.e. if I load an old one how far back must I go? (and is there any likelyhood that exult will stop corrupting savegames or is this my computer's fault?)

Thanks

I think there's some bug around that area that's causing games to be corrupted, but we haven't found it yet.

So if the bug is addressed, can I continue with my savegame or am I going to have to start over? (sorry, I'm not a big fan of replaying the same sections over and over :)

A corrupted savegame cannot be repaired in most cases, so you'll have to revert to an older savegame. :-(
