I am Thomas edward Seymour of The Hale Manor picture company. We are looking for a next project and are interested in aquiring the film rights to the video game series Ultima. If anyone has a way I can get in contact with Mr. Garrison I would be most greatful.

You might need to talk to Mr. Hat first

If you are telling the truth, then you are asking in the wrong place.

By the way, it's Mr. Garriott, not Mr. Garrison. He no longer owns the rights to Ultima. You should ask Electronic Arts.

Would an executive from a film-making company have a hotmail address?!

The name he uses and the company he mentions all seem to add up to a legit operation.

sweet! Your making an ultima film huh? Which ultima is it going to be based on? I would pick number 6 or 5. They are the most deep. Maybe 7.

Actually, the company this person mentions has a hotmail address. Anyways, the e-mail address I found in their page is almost the same, the difference being the one in the page doesn't have an underscore.

It would somewhat pi** me off if EA would profit from a Ultima movie and Gariott would play no role in it.

Somehow I have my doubts about EA selling rights to an independent film maker. They like things big. By the way, whoever put together your website left the 'n' out of 'independent' on the splash page.

They made a cartoon about U4. I would like to see a real life movie. Based on either U1 or U6.

Bah, movies - movie makers are already criticised for chopping around things when turning books into movies. If 500-page books can barely be squeezed into three hours, what about 100-hour computer games?
TV series. That's the only way.

Oh lord, PLEASE do not let there be an Ultima movie. Ultima was harmed badly enough by Ultima 8 and 9, especially 9. Games made into movies almost always suck ass beyond all comprehension. Doom the movie, Tomb Raider, Resident Evil, etc.. Oh, and lets not forget the unfathomably horrible "Dungeons and Dragons". Excuse me, I have to go vomit now.....

Hey man doom was sweet. Tomb raider sucked, but Resident evil was ok.. To fanboys any movie based on their game is cool. Thomas go for it all the way man!

What about Wing Commander the movie? As a stand alone, it was okay I suppose, but it totally betrayed many of the fundementals of the Wing Commander series(since when are the damn Kilrathi bug-creatures?).

Also, it seemed like the Wing Commander games had better actors than the movie.

Dare I bring up Street Fighter and the Mortal Kombat series?

St. Jude, that depends on how faithful the movie is to the game when it actually has a story. I really hate the Dungeons & Dragons movie, yet I love Resident Evil 2. A moderately faithful enough movie will be loved by the game's fans, while a not so faithful movie will be hated fervently.

I don't know if this is for real, but if it is, then Richard should play Lord British. All who agree say aye!

judging from his voice acting I'm totally against him acting in an Ultima Movie, at least not in a big role like LB

Well once thing's for certain. I would make a great Avatar.
And I know all the lines. Name! Job! Bye!

Yeah, you know all the lines, but can you figure out what other keywords there are to ask the questions in the question tree?!
And you're right about that part of LB's voice acting, it really wasn't that great. Still, he should have at least some part in the movie... a cameo for example. Maybe a servant in LB's castle or a pirate who gets hacked by Dupre!
