How do you load a game?

Ok, I've got saving games down but how exactly do you load an old game? I'm really confused about how to do it.

'Old games'? You can only load games saved with Exult, not original Ultima VII savegames.

These are all games saved by Exult. I'm just having difficulty getting them to load right.

What version of Exult are you using? Are these saves saved using the same version of Exult?

I think I'm using the most recent one. All my saves are saves I've saved with this one, they're not a mixture.

What I want to know is, how do you load a game? Any game?

We always try to be compatible with old games. Are you getting errors when you try to load?

I think what he means is:
start Exult, choose journey onwards, press ESC and load a game from there.

once you pressed Esc, select save/load game and pick one savegame from the list and click on "Load"
