Exult Forum

This was one of my favorite games of all time, and I still have the original CD from The Complete Ultima VII (this one didnt come with floppy disks), but am unable to even install it on my newer computer. Please forgive my limited knowledge, but how can I use Exult to help me install it? I downloaded Exult and it seems to work fine with the exception of missing the game itself. Every time I try to install the game, it says - "Something has put your system in protected mode, Ultima VII cannot run in this mode, demove (yes it was spelled with a 'd') the offending software and put your system in real mo to play the game." It's always given me this message, and I have no idea about the typos. Afterward it tells me my current configuration is not compatible, and promps me to make a bootable disk. I try doing this, and it gives me another error message, telling me to consult my manual. The manual I have says nothing about the floppy disk drive, and am still waiting to hear back from my manufacturer. Is there anything you know that could help me?

You could aways use DOSBox to install it. That's to easiest way to do it.
