Broken disk?

Hello,
I have an original U7/BG game on floppy disks... When I try to install it for using it with exult and I insert the 7th disk, the installation procedures says 'disk error'.
I try to install it under win2000, that might be the problem... Is it? This is strange, since the install procedure starts normally.
Do I have to install an old win95 version, or is it my old floppy which is totally messed up?
Thanks for your help.

Alright, thanks.
I tried Origin's site, no link for buying it...
Nothing on merchant sites...
Perhaps on auction sites...
Damn, all this for one single defective floppy :/ (I wish I had a CD-ROM drive back then!)
Bye, and thanks again for your help

Yeah, e-Bay has a few, I just checked. Doesn't seem many vendors carry it anymore. EB, Origin, Amazon, Chips and Bits, none of them had it in their inventories. But I'd try Yahoo! and Ebays auctions for best results. There's almost always at least one up for auction at any time.

Also call Origin and ask if they still replace defective floppies with others,
or CDs. I remember them swapping my 3 1/2" Martian Dreams floppies
with the 5 1/4" version because they weren't sold where I lived.

I have the original U7 on floppies, I could zip up the disc and send it over so you can put it on another new floppy if you like.
If you're using Forge of Virtue, can't help you, only got the original. Funnily enough I seem to remember it's only 6 disks... haven't looked at it recently.

Kurt, I would be glad if you could send me only the 7th disk.
Actually, it's the only one that's messed up!
I don't have Forge of virtues, so it's ok
I have SI, but I haven't tested it yet

Ooops,
You're right, this is the last one that's messed up, and there must be only 6 disks (I'm not writing it at home so I don't have the box near me to check)...I was persuaded that there was 7 disks
)
Well, If you could send me just the 6th (uctually, the last one), I would be glad to have it.
My memory betrays me
) (Maybe I mixed up with serpent isle which should have 7 disks...)

Ultima 6 had 7 disks.... 7 5.25" disks that is.

While on the topic of disks, Ultima VI for the Amiga came on three 3.5" disks... but the game came packed! You either had to do a hard drive install - and hard drives for Amigas were fairly uncommon when U6 was released - or unpack it to four blank disks which, needless to say, were not included in the U6 box. After all the trouble I had with my copy of U6 for the C64, this was very frustrating, as it meant another return trip downtown before I could play.

I finally checked back my boxes :
- U7 Black gate : 6 x 3.5" disks (the 6th is fubar
)
- U7 Serpent Isle : 7 x 3.5" disks (not tested yet)
So, Kurt, I have the same setup as you actually
PS : I had U6 on 5.25" disks (for PC), but I can't remember on how many disks... And of course it was necessary to install it (I don't remember if there was a floppy install)

Mine was just the 7 5.25 floppies, my Tandy 1000 EX didn't have a hard
drive. So whenever I wanted to go somewhere I had to
