Moving Save files (WinXP -> Ubuntu)

Post by Diego Molina »

Hi, I have a question: How may I use my save files from windows XP on Ubuntu? This is for black gate. I noticed the U7 folder in WinXP has my save files, so I just moved the entire folder to the path of black gate on my Ubuntu OS. The exult version is the same (1.2), but it seems that it wont recognize my save files. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Never mind. The path for savegames wasn't set correctly, just fixed it. I should have checked that first.

Oh well, sorry for unnecessary post.

Bye.

How did you create that path? I have same situation than you had, but I'm just dumber than you. And usually drunk.

Did you check the documentation? Default paths are explained for linux and aalso where the exult.cfg can be found (in which you can override the defaults)

I'll have to check that out tomorrow. I'm a basic Ubuntu user and my skills aren't so good.

Thanks.

Btw. only current SVN does have default paths for data. 1.2 needs paths set in the cfg.
