New shape is "too heavy."

Why?
With the latest snap of exult, es, tools plus gimp and plug-ins.
I exported the leather helm frame.
Recolored it.
Created a new shape. Imported my edited frame.
Made its attributes in line with the leather helm like giving it the same object flags and other classifications. Set up its coordinates for the paper doll, but I didn't make a new paper doll shape....(doubt this is the problem though)
Saved ES, exit, reload both exult&ES. Placed the new helm. However, in game mode I cannot pick it up. It says "too heavy"
Thinking perhaps I'd try a simpler object, I made a chair. Looks like a chair, but I can't sit, and it's also "too heavy." to move.
unless I add a 'new frame' to the existing chairs....the danger with this though, if I do the same with a mountain or a wall Chunks will change.
I digress.....
What am i missing? I've been able to make new tables, mountains and stones....these things are fine with being "too heavy" though. Does my new hat need associated usecode?
Thanks for anyhelp.
