exult in XP

I am running Windows XP and exult and sometime wile playing black gate a message will pop up about a visual C++ problem and the game exits. Sometimes it will occur spontaneously and it will sometimes happen if i misclick trying to talk to an NPC and accidentally click on a wall. What could be causing this?

are you running the beta1 release or the snapshot? If you are running the beta1, please try the snapshot

I run WinXP and have no probs with Exult.

Actually just to be pedantic Colourless (one of the programmers), Kirben (your daily snapshot provider) and me (your so super friendly FAQ provider) are running Exult on XP professional.
