Iolo has been equipped with the crossbow all this time, and magic bolts. Well, after a battle i was picking up magic bolts that missed, and putting them in his quiver, and then all the magic bolts in the quiver disappeared. I tried adding regulat bolts to his quiver, but I cannot. They go into the backpack instead. It's like there's still magic bolts in there, but they're not showing up. but if I equip the crossbow, the first time he fights it goes into the backpack and he fights with fists.

So I really don't know what to do or how to even correctly report this. It started happening soemwhere in the Forge of Virtue, if that makes a difference.

There are strange bolts at the fov, I think we fixed that somewhat in snapshots so I assume you are using the 1.4.9rc1 (or used it at that time).
Disable the SI style paperdoll in the settings and see if you can get to the strange bolts through that.

If the magical crossbow bolts disappeared instead of being exhausted by use, I have no idea what happened.

I had stopped the two stacks of bolts in the room with the dragon boss from disappearing (this fix is in the snapshots). I never fixed the original game bug of not being able to use them as ammo. A FoV developer accidentally used the triple crossbow bolt shape for the ammo and that shape isn't considered ammo by the game data.

I wasn't using SI style paperdolls. Yes, I'm using the stable release of exult, not the latest snapshot. Here's the savegame: http://choppercharles.com/exult06bg.sav

I'm using the GOG version of Ultima 7 with forge of virtue.

You'll note you're unable to put anything in iolo's quiver.

ok, this is annoying but fixable. Enable the paperdolls in BG, strip Iolo of all the stuff he wears and eventually take the whip out of his hand. The leg quiver will then show a single arrow you can drag out (it will instantly be invisible again). Drag it to the floor and NOT into the backpack (or you will have invisible 67 bolts weighing 4 stones in your backpack).
