I recently got a new computer. Win7 OS and I have U7 and U7p2 but for some reason Exult isn't detecting them. I'm using the version made available by Gog.com and I've used your program before, but this issue is new to me. It doesn't detect U7 at all for some reason. Not even under Gog's folder that it's installed in. Please help with this issue, I'd like to get back to my game

Please post your exult.cfg here (copy/paste). Are you running 32 or 64bit Windows 7?

I didn't want to make a new thread for this because I'm sure it's been addressed before...
But in all my multiple playthroughs over the years I've had an issue where Exult just closes. I can't get a save game for it because it isn't guaranteed to happen again right away. I HAVE noticed it seems to happen most frequently when I'm in Britania if that makes any sense (though it just happened to me in the test of courage). Just thought I'd mention it.. if there's anything I can do to be more helpful, definitely let me know.

Is that still happening with current snapshots and a new savegame? Varios problems have been fixed since 1.4.9rc1.

Yeah... this is running the newest snapshot with a brand new playthrough.

We need more information. With the newest snapshot did it still crash in Britain? Or just at the isle of fire? What did you do at the moment? Combat, walking...?

It tends to happen most frequently in Britain, but it just happened while I was leaving from giving Elynor (?) the package in Minoc.

Can you provide a savegame of britain?

I crashed once going into LB's castle recently, playing regular Black Gate no mods. I was just walking so I don't know what happened.

It's so inconsistent that I don't really know how to get you a save file that will be helpful... but I'll send one anyway if you like. Much as agentorangeguy said, it's most frequently while just walking.. and I DO think it's most often going into the castle or near the front of it. It happening in Minoc was a first and that was near the entrance to the fellowship hall.
I want to be more helpful, but since it's so unpredictable to me still, I am not sure how. I'd estimate that it's happened about 5 times in my current playtrough.

Agentorangeguy: can you provide more details? Especially what you did before that crash happened. Did you just walk theough Britain or did you teleport throughout Britannia. Perhaps following some quest, starting in Britain, then teleporting elsewhere then back, etc...

Sorry.. this is also why I haven't sent my save.. I just don't feel confident it my save will be of much use. In fact, I haven't had the issue happen in a few days and I don't even know what I could do to make it happen. I DO think there might be a connection to that keyring quest guy being near the front of the castle, but I can't confirm this. Doesn't seem to have happened since then (at that approximate location) since then...

Dominus- I had just started my game and went to the castle already, went to vesper to train, went into the dungeon near vesper to grab the magic armor, went to moonglow, then to cove, then back to the castle to pick up some spells from Nystul. As soon as I walked through the front door, it crashed. I don't think I teleported during that game.

So you walked all that?
