When u hail a NPC, can u increase the speed which the NPCs walks towards you?
I notice that the walking speed when hailed is slower than the usual walking speed of the NPC...

no you can't change the speed of their walking. It's another one of those pathfinding issues that Jeff plans to fix after 1.0

I know I asked this before, but I never checked what the answer was. and I didn't find it in the posts archive.
Why does there have to be a 1.0? Does that signify anything? Or is it some point where you'll determine that you're happy with Exult?

There are a number of large code changes currently being planned that have a
99.99% chance of destabilising the code and causing bugs (rewriting of the
usecode interpreter, updating the rendering engine, fixing combat, etc, etc).
All of these are being put off until we've got a nice stable engine that we can
point to and say "This thing plays BG & SI as relyably as the originals did.",
which is, AFAIK, exactly what 1.0 is going to symbolise.
