has anyone come accross this before? in the sphere the avatar has to go into the moongates in the proper order, but upon entering the first red one the other moongates cease to work. is this a gaame problem or am i missing something.

I ran into the same problem. Got around it by using the Hack Mover cheat and dragging myself from platform to platform.

Don't use hack-mover to move yourself. Using the alt-t teleport cheat usually works better.
