I'm trying to kill the dragon in the Test of Courage in FoV.

I used a Glass Sword (previously found). Nothing happened. Is this a bug? Is it possible that I must use the one Glass Sword found in the corpse in the dragon's room? Should I first kill the dragon "conventionally" and only after that use the Glass Sword?

Sounds like a bug. Ultimately, though, you need the Black Sword to really kill him.

OK, so what's to be done? Can I finish the Test of Courage anyhow? The metal door behind the dragon does not open yet.

My fault... I did not realize that I have to go back and finish the Black Sword in the first time.

Nevertheless, the Glass Sowrd seems not to work.

Of course the glass sword will not work - because the only way to kill the dragon is with the black sword. You can use a glass sword to take it down to near-death, then administer the final blow with the black sword.

I thought... first you get there and 'kill' him with a Glass Sword. He doesn't really die, but he gives you the gem that can imprison the demon that you need to make the Blackrock Sword. Then you forge the Blackrock Sword and go back and use it to kill him for real this time. After that you can access the tailsman of Courage.

It doesn't have to be the Glass Sword, you can "kill" her the first time with anything.

I haven't actually checked with Exult but in the original you shouldn't try to kill her with a magic weapon (besides the blacsword).
A magic weapon is considered cheating by her and shw won't five you the gem.
Glass sword is not considered a magic weapon.
Try that in FoV

Right... you don't have to use the Glass Sword, it's just the most convenient. The second time you have to use the Blackrock Sword's 'death' power.

Dominus: I haven't actually tried it out, but I think the rule is actually that you can't kill her with magic... like spells. But magic weapons are fine.
