I've created a new sound pack for Black Gate - it contains the higher quality Roland Sound Effects - a replacement for JMSFX.FLX.

The file is here http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/exult/sqsfxbg.zip
It contains instructions how to install.

A Serpent Isle version will be available in the next week or so.

Enjoy

You can't use download accelearators like GetRight when you download it (for those that have problems downloading it).

I don't like them as much as the non-roland sounds. They tried too hard to make them sound realistic and sound shoddy in the process. But Mungo, please do not take offence as I know you didn't record the sounds :)

Good work anyway, we always could do with some more choice.

Well, to be nitpicky, Mungo recorded the sounds for this pack! But of course it was Origin who made those sounds in the first place... :-)

I've just uploaded v1.1 of the BG & SI Roland sound packs (sqsfxXX.flx) to the sourceforge site.

Please make sure you download these versions for BG and SI if you currently have the v1.0s. There are some changes to the Grandfather clock sounds that will sound very strange (and annoying) in future versions of Exult if you use v1.0 of sqsfxXX.flx.
